On the 26th of May, Sandra Gauci and myself, candidates for the European Parliament on behalf ADPD – The Green Party, met with Yana Mintoff (Ġustizzja għall-Palestina) who presented some demands on behalf of the sanction movement in Malta.
While we mainly talked about the Genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, we had the opportunity to also discuss Mediterranean Security, foreign policy in the Eastern Mediterranean, Malta’s position on neutrality, and also, workers’ rights, living income, and a 4-day work week.

We signed a letter calling for:
- Promotion of freedom, justice and equality for Palestinian people;
- Work to ban sales of lethal weapons;
- Agreement to sanction Israel for its policies of occupation, displacement, repression, and asasination of the Palestinian people and children of Gaza.
- Agreement to oppose and suspend all relations, trade, and investment with Israeli entities that do not oppose Israeli occupations of Palestinian Territories.
- Suspending the EU-Israel association agreement until Israel ends its violations of UN resolutions and international law.
- Support for a regional call for European sanctions against the Military and Government leaders of Israel.
