So many people in Malta care for our environment, our beaches, our seas, and our future. Taking time out of their days to clean up our beaches, to raise awareness, to meet with members of parliament, and to demand change from politicians that will actually have a positive impact.

People like CaMi and many volunteers and NGOs in Malta are doing their part to counter pollution, to manage waste, to stop climate change.

But it is not enough.
It is time for politicians to do ours.
To offer solutions that work.
This is what Alternattiva Demokratika – The Green Party in the European Parliament can do together with elected Greens from across Europe. Investing in using fewer resources and making products last longer and be easier to fix. Banning non-recyclable plastics. Developing sustainable alternatives. Clamping down on food-waste.
Thank you once again to CaMi for organising this clean-up and many others.
